Ford Sells Spark Plug Plant to Allied-Signal Automotive

Update:01 Feb, 2023

For 20 years, the Ford Spark Plug Plant in Treforest, South Wales has been producing spark plugs for Ford vehicles. The plant is also the only spark-plug manufacturing facility of its kind in the world. It has approximately 330 employees, and produces 30 million spark plugs per year. Now, Ford plans to sell the plant to Allied-Signal Automotive. However, the sale is subject to the approval of the Allied-Signal Automotive board of directors.

Spark plugs are very important for the running of an engine. This is because they play a key role in igniting the gasoline inside the cylinders. Without them, the engine will not be able to start. If they become damaged, they may cause problems such as misfires and cold starting. In addition, they are very small parts. So if you want to replace them, you will need a special tool to do the job.

Ford's new spark-plug manufacturer, Allied-Signal Automotive, already supplies the company with spark plugs for its North American vehicles. The company also has a presence in Europe. According to spokesman Frank Macher, the sale is part of a consolidation of purchasing agreements with automotive suppliers.

The AYFS-32Y-R is an ideal spark plug for 58 different Ford models. This plug is pre-gapped, meaning that it comes with all the necessary hardware to install it. It is compatible with 47 other vehicles, too.

These spark plugs are built to OEM specifications. They also have a patented SAC-9 semiconductor resistor to suppress radio frequency interference. Plus, they have a high-accuracy Copper Core Centre Electrode for better control over the heat range. All Motorcraft products meet or exceed the quality standards of the Ford Motor Company.

The Motorcraft brand is a sub-brand of the Ford Motor Company. It was developed with the help of a contract manufacturer. Initially, it was intended to be a line of car accessories, but it has now grown into a full-scale manufacturer of car components.

Unlike other spark plugs, the Motorcraft line is only sold under the Ford Motor Company name. The company manufactures a wide variety of auto components, including ignition systems, oxygen sensors, and technical sensors. As a result, there are several different versions of the brand available, with varying levels of quality.

Unlike other brands, the Motorcraft spark plugs are built by the same engineers who built the engines for Ford. As a result, the spark plugs are made with optimal emissions and high quality control. Additionally, owners of the plugs have reported that the motors run more efficiently, with improved fuel mileage. Some owners even report that they can drive a lot longer with the plugs installed.

Besides the usual applications for spark plugs, Motorcraft offers oddball plugs, which are used for applications that aren't normally found on a vehicle. These include one-piece plugs and spark plugs that are designed for competition.

Ford's new plug is a re-designed 3V cylinder head. The 4.6L, 5.4L or 6.8L 3V engines are some of the most powerful engines the company has ever built.
